Kumama Bistro is a Chef-driven, ingredient-led experience using influence from our International guest and own travels. No Program. Just good food and booze.

The bistro is located at the main building of Pine Bungalows Resort in Jasper National Park. We are currently seeking a server/bartender with upscale casual dinning experience to join our amazing team of leading professionals in the hospitality industry. This position is ideal for ambitious individuals with a passion for food wine and creating memorable guest experiences.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
Participate in training sessions to improve cooking techniques and knowledge of food safety practices.
Requirements

Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and meal preparation techniques is essential.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts is highly valued.
