We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team for the upcoming season. We offer flexible contract options, with both 4-month and 6-month contracts available. Start dates are in April or May, with all contracts concluding in October.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a team our goal is to create unforgettable, picture-perfect experiences for our guests. Your role in that goal is very important! As a Restaurant Host, your main objective is to provide quality service to each person while they are on site. Whether you are serving them breakfast or dropping off their room service, we want them to leave remembering what a positive experience you helped create for them.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assigning guests to tables they prefer while keeping rotation in mind.
Cordially and professionally greet / welcome guests upon arrival;
Ensure that all set-ups are correct and complete;
Advise Restaurant / Banquet Manager of any guest complaints;
Observe and listen attentively to guest needs and requests, and write them down with accuracy;
Anticipate the guest needs and offer assistance;
Maintain a professional and pleasant demeanour at all times;
Provide quick service including last minute changes;
Ensure proper table set-ups at all times for various meal periods;
Properly and promptly clear and clean guests tables in a timely manner;
Ensure all table items including utensils, cutlery, serving plates, etc. are spotless clean and in perfect condition before the guest uses them;
Carry trays, plates, glasses, etc. to and from guests tables;
Perform other related duties as required by the Restaurant Manager.
Ability to learn and answer questions regarding them menu and hotel services.
QUALIFICATIONS:

You are a team player who is excited to create a great experience for the guests of INNHotels! You are positive, driven and have a ‘glass half full’ outlook on life. Your other traits include:

A passion for customer service and a strong attention to detail;
Energetic, flexible, reliable, respectful, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity;
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment;
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills;
Friendly and pleasant demeanour, courteous, self-motivated, and professional;
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, independently and as part of a team;
Ability to work different shift hours; nights and weekends
Serve it right certification;
Knowledge of restaurant POS systems is preferred, but not a must;
At least one year of Restaurant Host experience is preferred.
