HI Jasper

Have you ever dreamed of living in the middle of the Canadian Rockies? Well stop dreaming and make that a reality!

Here at HI Jasper we can offer you that amazing and singular experience. You can stay with us for a season, and then stay the whole year because there is so much on offer, our wild surroundings will be calling to you.

The full mountain experience guaranteed while working in the newest hostel in the HI Canada network (including brand-new subsidized staff housing). The little extra!? You will be able to visit all the HI hostels around (Lake Louise – Banff – Whistler – etc.) too during your weekends as you will get free stays in any HI hostels!!

What you will be doing as Cafe Staff:
You will be responsible for preparing food items in strict accordance to menu standards both in terms of portion control and presentation and for delivering high quality customer service to cafe guests by waiting on and serving customers in a friendly, timely, and professional manner. Our Café Staff provide excellent customer service while maintaining cleanliness, stock levels and ensuring appropriate food handling and liquor standards are upheld in their daily duties.
Shift schedules and rotations that maximize your ability to get out and explore. Need two days to get out into the wilderness? We’ll make it happen.


What we look for

You’ll need some previous cooking and barista experience; we’ll train you up as it’s not rocket science, but some previous experience is an asset
You’ll need to bring your positive energy and humour to work every day, because as well as working with teammates you’ll also be dealing with our guests directly.
You’ll need to be able to handle some stressful times when it’s busy with a smile and be interested in learning more.
