Papa George's Restaurant is a small, family run business in the historical Astoria Hotel, situated in beautiful Jasper National Park.

We are an intimate and cozy restaurant, offering classic Canadian cuisine with an exceptional wine list.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, possess exceptional leadership skills, and have a passion for delivering an outstanding dining experience. Responsibilities: - Manage all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including staffing, inventory management, and financial performance - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards - Train and supervise staff members to provide excellent customer service - Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability - Create and maintain a positive work environment for employees - Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and quality control - Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner - Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed - Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff members Qualifications: - Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role - Strong knowledge of bartending, food preparation, and food safety practices - Excellent leadership and communication skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Exceptional problem-solving abilities - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays If you are a motivated individual with a passion for the hospitality industry and possess the necessary skills to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.
