This fun summer role begins April 29 and runs until October 14 Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $21.00 per hour. Can be anywhere from a 30 minute to 2 hour tour. Rotating through various interpretive stations. Performing 10 – 15-minute presentations to large groups Being proactive with maintenance issues and safety concerns Helping load and unload shuttle buses when needed. Reporting safety issues to the Manager and Supervisor in a timely manner Validating tickets and sales as guests arrive to the attraction Distributing Audio Tours to guests Maintaining a high level of cleanliness of the entire attraction Other duties as assigned by your employer. What skills and experience do you need for this job?: Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest is the most important aspect of this position! Able to stay busy and always seek out the next task. Energetic individuals with a passion for the mountains and everything about the area! Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment. Able to work both independently and in our team-based environment. A fantastic sense of humor as well as a friendly, mature, energetic personality Charismatic and comfortable with speaking to large groups Previous interpretive guiding experience an asset Able to stand and work outside in varying mountain weather conditions (snow, rain, wind, hail) for the entire duration of an 8-hour shift. Commitment to becoming an interpretive expert and ambassador through the completion of a 4-day interpretive training program (provided upon starting employment) Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences. Class 5 Canadian driver’s license (with clean abstract) an asset but not required. Ability to think on the fly and outside the box to solve problems with a positive attitude.
