What will you do in this job?:
This position is critical to our guest experience, activity rentals (boats and bikes) and retail offerings. Success will be measured on guest experience, sales, and commitment to place.

Supervise the Resort Services staff and provide guest experience assistance to the front office
Training of new Resort Services staff and as required work shifts to ensure proper coverage for anticipated business levels
Maximize revenue opportunities through our boat rental operations through flexible product offerings, depending on the time of day
Take ownership of the appearance of the dock, beach, boat house, parking lot and ground. Ensure and maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards of the equipment in this department
Work with the Hotel Manager to build and implement resort programming and manage contractors
Manage the retail inventory in the lobby ensuring displays are inviting, authentic, maintained, well stocked and work with the Jasper retail inventory team to have appropriate back up stock for business levels
Ensures all staff are familiar with the Hotel’s emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency
Anticipate guest service with a focus on anticipating future guest needs by coordinating with the front desk the contact of each reservation prior to arrival
Familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility
When not busy with hotel guests, assist our other teams (Front office, Housekeeping, Maintenance)
Completes daily exterior property walks to ensure the resort is looking its best
Champion Promise to Place initiatives on behalf of Pyramid Lake Resort (PLR)
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are up to date for retail operations & boat rentals, and create new SOPs as needed
Assist Hotel Manager with special projects as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Exemplary organization and communication skills with an ability to lead teams to provide memorable guest experiences
Experience managing inventory and driving sales
Ability to partner with third party operators to enhance resort guest experience
High attention to detail
Passion for Pyramid Lake Resort and positive can-do attitude
Driven to leading by example
Ability to work mornings, afternoons, and weekends
Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Ability to manage operating systems
High school or equivalent education required, retail, guest experience and and/or sport equipment experience preferred
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Pursuit standards
