Jasper House Bungalows is currently accepting applications for the 2021 summer season. We are looking for experienced staff to start in May until mid October. We offer onsite accommodations, end of season bonus and a fun, energetic atmosphere. Come join our team and experience all the activities that Jasper National Park has to offer.

Position Summary

The front desk agent position is a key part of the overall success of Jasper House Bungalows. Often, this is the first and last person a guest is in contact with. It is very important that the individual possesses a strong outgoing personality, with an ability to pay close attention to details and a passion for interacting with guests from around the world. The successful candidate must be able to work well with others and alone unsupervised.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Greet guests in a friendly manner and follow the check in procedures

- Process payments and post accurately to guest accounts

- Follow set policies regarding cash handling

- Ensure the front desk is neat and orderly stocked with all necessary items

- Maintain records and files

- Check out guest and print or email receipts

- Communicate with other departments in a friendly and professional manner

- Be aware of local attractions, activities and restaurants to make recommendations for guests

- Handle incoming phone calls and other guest communications

- Accurately communicate with other shifts regarding issues arising from day to day operations

- Track and document daily occurrences

- Assist with laundering towels

- Answer all incoming guest questions

- Other duties as required

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a customer service role

- Strong communications skills in English, both in written and verbal is essential

- Ability to work all shifts including weekends, mornings, evenings and holidays. We do not have a midnight shift.

- Diploma in hospitality or related courses and asset

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

- Demonstrated strong customer service skills
