Full job description
The Evergreens Foundation is a not-for-profit housing management body proudly supporting an exceptional quality of life for our residents at our multiple senior and social housing facilities.

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Maintenance Helper 1 who is looking to support us in our efforts to provide a safe and positive environment, working a 7.5-hour shift, five (5) days a week. This position will be based at our beautiful Alpine Seniors Lodge in Jasper.

You little about what you will do as part of our Maintenance Team:

Year-round grounds keeping and maintenance.
Seasonal upkeep of the grounds, parking lots, outdoor decks, and gazebos.
Seasonal start-up and shutdown of equipment and outdoor maintenance systems.
Regular maintenance of ground keeping machines.
Winter snow removal.
Assisting with general maintenance duties.
What you will bring to the position:

Experience in building maintenance, grounds keeping, or relevant field.
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
Completes assigned tasks and close-off work orders within the time frame given in the response time policy.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Demonstrate time management, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
Represent the Foundation with a positive and professional attitude.
Able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, visitors and fellow employees.

Note:

This position pays an hourly rate of $23.41 in accordance with The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union No. 955.
The successful candidate must be able to legally work in Canada, reside in Jasper and provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
