We are accepting applications for the following:

Early Childhood Educator




Location: , Jasper, AB

Start Date: August 26, 2025 until June 30, 2026

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day (30 hours/week)

The competition will remain open until: June 23, 2025, 12:00pm.




Summary:

The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for the safety of the students and day-to-day operations of the center and will work under the direction and supervision of the School Principal and/or designate.



Role and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

Ensure the Junior Kindergarten program complies with all licensing requirements.
Ensure the physical environment is monitored and maintained to meet fire, health & safety standards.
Develop plans and lead indoor and outdoor activities that support and promote the development of pre-school-aged children.
Implement the Junior Kindergarten’s daily routine.
Supervise all children while providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Administer necessary medications and/or First Aid according to the safety protocol.
Supervise Childcare Assistant(s).
Build positive relationships with parents and communicates regularly with them.
Operate within the budget.
Work closely with the Principal to plan all field trips and classroom activities.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will:

Possess Level 3 – Early Childhood Educator certification.
Have completion of grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Have ability to work with minimal supervision and as a team player.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Have experience working with preschool-aged children and has relevant knowledge of programming and curriculum.
Have demonstrated knowledge of financial management including budget development and review of expenditure against budget, utilization and staffing levels
First Aid and/or CPR certification.
In accordance with Board Policy, the successful applicant will be required to provide the following:

Evidence of a Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
