Job Description

As the Director of Outlets at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will oversee the full spectrum of Food and Beverage operations across all our core dining venues & lounges. This includes providing strategic direction as well as hands on day-to-day operational leadership. Your role is essential in creating exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue growth, and fostering a strong service culture aligned with Fairmont’s commitment to luxury hospitality. You will inspire and guide outlet leaders, maintain Forbes and LQA standards, and ensure seamless operational excellence across all service periods.

What you will be doing:

Operational Leadership

Oversee daily operations of F&B outlets, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
Champion Fairmont brand standards, Forbes, and LQA protocols across all service touchpoints.
Collaborate with culinary leadership to deliver consistent, innovative, and high-quality menus.
Drive consistency in service delivery, ambiance, and colleague engagement.
Demonstrate calm, confident leadership in stressful moments, coaching teams to respond with empathy, grace, and professionalism.
Financial Performance

Manage outlet budgets, forecasts, and labor costs to achieve financial targets.
Analyze daily revenue, cost of goods, and profitability; implement strategic action plans as needed.
Work with Revenue Management and Sales to optimize covers, check averages, and promotional efforts.
People & Culture

Lead, train, mentor, and develop outlet managers and their teams with a focus on luxury service culture.
Foster a positive work environment that supports colleague engagement and career growth.
Promote health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations and brand policies.

Guest Experience

Personally engage with guests to resolve concerns with professionalism and empathy. Ensuring feedback is actioned swiftly and proactively.
Serve as the escalation point for high-touch or emotionally charged guest concerns within the dining outlets, lounges, and in-room dining.
Lead the implementation of service recovery standards and empower teams to handle guest concerns effectively.
Monitor guest feedback platforms (e.g., TrustYou ) and drive service improvement initiatives.
Innovation & Brand Positioning

Collaborate with Marketing and PR on outlet activations, events, and seasonal offerings.
Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive benchmarks to maintain Fairmont’s leadership in luxury dining.
Continuously seek opportunities to innovate the guest experience and outlet programming.

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of progressive F&B leadership experience in a luxury hotel environment.
Proven experience managing multiple outlets or a complex F&B operation.
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs.
Inspirational leadership style with a passion for colleague development and mentorship.
Excellent communication, organizational, and guest service skills.
Deep understanding of Forbes and LQA service standards.
Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
