The Grocery People are hiring an Assistant Store Manager on a permanent full-time basis at our Retail Grocery Store located in Jasper, AB.

What you’ll do:

You will assist in establishing short-term strategies, goals, and objectives for the store in alignment with the strategic plan.
You will coach and develop team members and team leaders, assisting the store manager in providing day-to-day direction and guidance.
You will take part in all aspects of the marketing, advertising and merchandising plan of the store.
You will assist in maintaining customer satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement.
You will participate as a member of the safety committee and be knowledgeable of all the policies and procedures required to maintain COR standards. You will also ensure staff are accountable for following all safety, maintenance, and asset protection policies.
You will learn the various reports required to analyze budgeted sales and expenses.

The Team: Working alongside the Store Manager, you will be a key participant in the overall operations of the store.

Job Requirements 
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

You have a Grade 12 Diploma.
You have 3+ years of experience in a retail environment. Food Store Management experience considered an asset (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
You’re familiar with developing relationships with external and internal customers on complex issues and transactions.
You have experience with coaching and providing feedback to other team members.
You have the ability to control operational costs, maximize operational efficiency, and improve sales and growth margin.
