What will you do in this job?:
Bell Person attendants have a unique roll of helping guests at our properties realize their vacation dreams. This position will work closely with the front desk team and function as an integral first impression to arriving guests. A positive attitude, passion for our experiences, and great communication skills are essential to create unforgettable hospitality experiences for our guests.

Provide an outstanding and seamless arrival experience for our guests
The Guest service and bell person shall provide guest interactions that are professional, warm, engaging and knowledgeable - enhancing the guest experience.
Direct guests to parking areas
Assist with guest luggage as required, unloading of cars, delivery of luggage to guest rooms
Patrol parking lots to ensure they are clean and tidy
Answer any inquiries about the town of Jasper and surrounding areas
Provide information on hotel facilities and services, and local points of interest
Refer major guest complaints to Hotel Manager or Front Desk Supervisor
Learn the Emergency Response Manual thoroughly
Provide information and promote all Pursuit products (Brewster Express, Sightseeing tours, Attractions, Hotels, Food & Beverage)
Process telephone calls
Process group arrivals and departures
Register arriving guests and assign rooms
Process guests’ departures, calculate charges and receive payment
Take, cancel, and change room reservations
Resolve minor guest complaints and refer to Hotel Manager or Front Desk Supervisor as required
Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
Provide information regarding room status and special guests to other departments
Provide information & confirm bookings for our guests on our local Pursuit attractions
Provide information and confirm bookings for meals across all F&B outlets in our collection
Perform related Front Desk duties as directed by Supervisor
Work independently with the support of a team to achieve organizational goals and drive sales
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and an outgoing personality
Able to work with minimal direct supervision
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Pursuit standards
Computer knowledge (we are willing to train for this)
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Attend and review product knowledge documents and training sessions to fully understand new Pursuit product offerings
Passionate about tourism and hospitality and strive to help create memorable experiences for visitors to the Canadian Rockies
