Jasper, AB $15 an hour Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the successful candidate will: Answer, screen and forward phone calls, take messages and schedule/change reservations. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk to include but not limited to: room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, no show reservations, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc. to ensure accuracy. Ensure credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists. Run night audit end of day after insuring all revenues are in balance nightly. Have knowledge of hotel property, hotel staff, and hotel services with hours of operations; room locations, types of rooms and room selling strategies; hotel rates and discounts and how to handle each; and hotel credit policies and procedures. Record all guest comments and complaints. Resolve guest issues quickly, efficiently, courteously and professionally. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent English language. Must be dependable Ability to work mathematical concepts and ability to apply concepts. Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
