Job Overview
The Site Safety Support plays a crucial role in providing on-site assistance and support to mechanical client, ensuring that all health and safety systems and processes are functioning optimally. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to effectively address client needs, and facilitate the fabrication of necessary health and safety components. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a strong commitment to client and regulatory safety. Candidate will be supporting a mechanical turnaround as gas plant .

Duties

Assist with orientation/new hire processes
Ensure compliance with workscope including pipefitting, welding,confined space, fall protection (working at heights)
Develop site specific ERP
Understand client expectations and ensure onsite activities meet and exceed as required
Participating in tailgate meetings tailored to site activities, ensuring effective knowledge transfer to crew.
Perform onsite safety inspections
Ensure deficiencies identified are corrected
Review of completed safety forms
Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including client interactions and resolutions
Acting as a liason to ensure accuracy of incident investigation as needed.
Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project updates and share best practices.
Requirements

CRSP/CHSC/NCSO Designations considered
5+ years working in a safety advisory/coordinator role with experience in gas plants
Strong understanding of Alberta, OHS Legislation.
Gas Plant Experience considered an asset.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on client expectations.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Ensure a positive safety culture amongst crew
Ability to work 12 hour days 7 days a week for portion of program
Provide own PPE including steel toed work boots,hard hat,gloves,safety glasses, FR coveralls
Provide computer, cell phone,own transportation
Safety Tickets: H2S Alive, CSO, Fall Protraction End User, Confined Space,WHMIS,TDG,First Aid/CPR, client specific orientation
This role is essential for maintaining high standards of professionalism, safety, ethics and ensuring that clients receive the best possible support.
