What will be your daily pursuit?:
The Director of Facilities will be responsible for the overall direction of the maintenance department of the seven Jasper Hotels (including restaurants, retail, offices and commercial tenants) as well as Jasper Staff Accommodation.

What will you do in this job?:
This is a senior management role reporting to the Director of Operations, Jasper Lodging. Responsibilities include:
Direct the maintenance operations including the leadership, mentorship and supervision of all maintenance staff.
Responsible for maintaining Pursuit’s safety standards and an active member of the Health and Safety team
Routinely inspect interior and exterior spaces, equipment and work completed
Oversee preventative maintenance and work order programs for all locations of responsibility
Create and manage annual capital and operating budgets and monthly forecasts in collaboration with relevant department heads
Manage department expenses and labor
Recruit, hire, train, teach and develop maintenance team members and plan for succession
Create a safe and engaged culture in the team and contribute positively to hospitality operations
Develop relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure timely, efficient and cost-effective delivery of services.
Manage large projects from beginning to end.
Collaborate with Hotel Managers for maintenance of hotels and commercial tenants
Collaborate with the Jasper Housing Team for maintenance of Jasper Staff Accommodations
Monitor and maintain all building systems
Ensure shops and facilities are clean, stocked and kept in a professional working manner
Track and report weekly all maintenance issues and potential risks
Perform maintenance tasks as needed
Be on call for emergency response
Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Knowledge of boilers, HVAC, building controls.
Proven ability to troubleshoot problems, create and implement solutions.
Preference given to degrees (Power Engineer) and/or ticketed trades.
Proven ability to lead projects
Leadership experience managing and developing teams (in a hospitality environment preferred).
Maintenance experience and hands-on trainer.
Administrative skills including financial acumen.
Hospitable, professional, and strong communication skills.
Knowledge of tools, procedures, technical skills and safety rules used in the maintenance and repair.
Good organizational skills with attention to timeliness and details.
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
Requires light lifting and carrying.
Ability to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Certified Pool Operator Certificate (or willingness to do the training shortly after starting).
Valid Driver’s License
