Duties The successful candidate will be responsible for outdoor work such as: repairing fences and gates, maintaining electric fences, mowing grass, removing snow, clearing debris and operating caribou handling systems. They will operate and repair equipment such as tractors and snow blowers, ensuring everything is in good working order. Other duties include maintaining water and sanitary systems, monitoring power distribution, and general building upkeep. Your work will play a vital role in the restoration of caribou populations in Jasper National Park. You will have the privilege of working at a new conservation breeding facility specifically designed for this purpose, situated south of the Jasper townsite within the boundaries of the national park. Degree equivalency EXPERIENCE *Acceptable* experience in performing routine maintenance tasks on various building systems; *Acceptable* experience with light equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, and tractors; Experience working in and around captive wild animal facility, an agricultural animal facility, or working in an accredited institution, including experience in animal husbandry, and managing associated equipment and infrastructure. (*Acceptable* experience is defined as a minimum of 12 months.) Conditions of employment You are required to obtain and maintain a Reliability Status security clearance. You will be required to work shift-work, and/or weekends, and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays as scheduled by your delegated manager.
