Full Job Description
Prime Boiler Services (PBS) is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Water Treatment Technical Sales and Service (WT SS) person. This position may be based in Calgary or Red Deer. The focus of this role is driving new customer sales activities. This role organizes and carries out all water treatment sales and service activities within the assigned geographical territory (as assigned by WT Manager). The WT SS develops close relationships with customers and end-users where Prime Boiler Water Management products and services may be implemented to protect and treat their boilers, cooling towers, and closed-loop systems. The successful candidate will be driven to exceed customer expectations of support and quality service.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Self-motivated to acquire new customers and enjoy cold call sales pursuits
Provide pre-sale assistance, consultation, and demonstrations to clients and potential clients as required
Advise clients on best practice methods for product utilization
Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot problems with product implementation, providing solutions and ensuring the success of implemented solutions with assistance from management.
Negotiate, calculate, and prepare client quotations and proposals initially with assistance from management Review and prepare tenders and requests for quotations
Develop strategies to overcome or eliminate obstacles that may hinder effective sales techniques
Continually research new applications for products and services offered
Attend industry tradeshows and seminars
Assist with water treatment services for existing and future clients, advising organizations about deficiencies and issues
Create and maintain client relationships, consistently searching for new, potential clients who may benefit from chemical water treatment products and services
Understand and assess product needs and provide product solutions available
Adhere to company safety rules, policies, and procedures
Prepare chemical shipments as required
Deliver chemicals to internal and external customers
Ordering chemicals as required
Qualifications

2+ years of Sales experience in a similar industry
Water Treatment Technician or Chemistry Certificate related an asset
High proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word Outlook
Proficient with software applications related to the field
Clean driver’s abstract and valid class 5 with ability to travel for service calls in the region
