Full job description
Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Supervisor who is dedicated to ensuring an exceptional experience for our customers. As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, hospitality, and service of our restaurant. You will ensure that all products from the kitchen meet the highest quality standards before being served and work towards maximizing sales through various methods and interdepartmental collaboration.


Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that customers receive premium products and services by maintaining professionalism and setting high standards for co-workers in areas such as attire, grooming, etiquette, attitude, sales, and motivation.
Manage cash systems, including daily sales receipts, balancing, floats, and reconciliation.
Analyze restaurant category reports to identify opportunities for maximizing sales.
Conduct regular inventory of beverages, including soda pop, juices, and bottled water.
Oversee liquor and wine management, including regular inventory checks and cost control measures.
Staffing and people development, including training new staff on opening and closing procedures.
Create staff schedules to maximize productivity within the allocated labor budget.
Coordinate with all other departments to ensure a comprehensive product knowledge for effective cross-department sales.
Accountable for increasing sales in the dining room through upselling techniques.

Required Qualifications:

Solid background in food service management.
In-depth knowledge of inventory control systems for both food and beverage.
Natural aptitude for providing exceptional customer service.
Familiarity with computerized cash systems.
Understanding of customer needs and current trends.

Key Competencies:

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with department heads and staff at all levels.
Proven ability to lead and develop a productive team, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality products and services while maintaining company goals.
Knowledge of tour representatives' requirements and ability to fulfill them.
Strong collaboration and coordination skills across all departments to maximize sales.

Breadth of Management:

This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining the company's high-quality reputation, contributing to long-term revenue growth.


Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality/Tourism Management or related field.
2 to 3 years of directly related experience in the specific accountabilities specified.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Familiarity with marketing strategies, processes, and available resources.
Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to create, compose, and edit materials.
Proficiency in database management.
Strong data gathering, compilation, and report preparation skills.
Understanding of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.
Knowledge of marketing media and funding sources.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and effectively convey information to a range of clientele and media sources.

Compensation:

Wage: $20-24/hour plus tips.
Staff accommodation is available for employees over the age of 18 at $4.41 per day.
Bonus: If contract is completed you will receive your rent back.
Referral Bonus: $500 if both yours and your referrals contract are completed.
