Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Saute Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has strong experience preparing sauteed dishes, excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and timing, works well under pressure, and can operate with minimal supervision. This role requires precision, organization, and a commitment to consistent quality.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook sauteed dishes following recipes, timing, and presentation standards.
- Manage multiple saute pans and cooking tasks simultaneously.
- Ensure ingredients are properly prepped, portioned, and stored.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized saute station.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Follow food safety regulations, portion controls, and kitchen procedures accurately.
- Assist with prep work and support other stations when needed.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision while also being a strong team player.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a saute cook or similar role.
- Strong understanding of saute techniques, heat control, and timing.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, organized, and self‑motivated.
- Food Handler’s certification is an asset.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a hot environment.
