What will be your daily pursuit?:
The role of the Food and Beverage Manager is to lead the Food and Beverage team and run the daily operation for Summit Restaurant and Basecamp. Supervises daily restaurant operations and monitor compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures while monitoring and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the building. Manages day-to-day operations verifying that the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the guests on a daily basis. Maintains the operating budget, and verifies that standards and legal obligations are followed. Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.

The starting salary for this position is dependent on experience.

What will you do in this job?:
Oversee all daily operations, logistics, and profitability growth.
Provide leadership and coaching that fosters an environment of problem solving, teamwork, accuracy, and improved business practices.
Report directly to the General Manager of the SkyTram.
Manage all F&B operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
Assist and train supervisors/Assistant Managers in understanding team members ever changing needs and expectations, and how to exceed them.
Run the business like your own, develop strategies to meet financial, team member and guest expectations.
Anticipate key issues and informational needs and be prepared to discuss ongoing performance and functions that will enhance the performance of all food and beverage operations.
Participate in the forecasting and annual budgeting process and manage variable expenses to achieve financial metrics.
Make employee and guest safety a cultural cornerstone to maintain our reputation as an industry leader and guest safety advocate.
Assist the properties with efficient and comprehensive use of Pursuit’s Inventory Management System for accurate COGS reporting.
Collect, communicate and lead the efforts to know and understand our guests, guest trends, innovation, and product development.
Collaborate on events, menu launches, and cross-functional projects.
Uphold sustainability programming that represents the values at the heart of Pursuit Promise to Place; specifically, honoring place through stewardship, respect and community.
Maintain core standards, monitor quality and demonstrate knowledge of a brand specific service culture.
Respond to guests in a timely manner for guest service and departmental requests (in person and online).
Proactively deal with guests concerns.
Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork and passion for providing great service.
Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
3-5 years of leadership experience in a food and beverage role.
Experience in building relationships and working on teams across all levels of an organization.
Thrives in a fast paced and high energy work environment.
Comprehends budgets, operating statements and payroll progress report.
Experience with best-in-class operating systems, training, staff development.
Able to create “followership” through modelling our core values and best practices.
Great communication skills via multiple forms to co-workers (telephone, written, verbal, e-mail).
Extends professionalism and courtesy to team members at all times.
Capable of inspiring teams to drive quality and performance within the organization.
Experience with financial management and creating strong employees and guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate would have proven experience of a broad range of food and beverage activities, meetings/events, and functions.
