Job Description

At Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, an exceptional guest experience begins even before check-in and extends throughout every stay. As a Housekeeping Head Houseperson, the organizational support you provide to the Housekeeping team will ensure our guest rooms are well equipped and welcoming – and our guests feel valued.

Starting Rate: $22.16 per hour

What you will be doing:

Assist in all daily duties of the Housekeeping Department
Provide daily supervision of housekeeping housepersons
Provide on-going training and support to the housekeeping housepersons
An expert in the technical side of the position including internet, telephone and on-command related troubleshooting
Coordinate with Housekeeping Leadership team in regards to scheduling, task assignments, and projects
Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of housekeeping vehicles through weekly inspections
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the furniture storage compound
Perform monthly inventory and daily control of housekeeping equipment and furniture
Support employee performance reviews in conjunction with Director of Housekeeping
Ensure execution of daily task sheets by all housepersons in an effective and productive manner
Ensure monthly productivity targets are met
Demonstrate, train and deliver service excellence to all guests
Maintain positive work environment through effective leadership
Other housekeeping duties as assigned
Vacuum repairs/maintenance as required
Perform Cot/crib maintenance monthly

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Minimum 1 Year of previous housekeeping experience required, preferably in a supervisory level
Proven leadership ability required
Previous supervisory experience an asset
Must be flexible and able to work various shifts
Must be in good physical condition
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of the property
Must be able to work under pressure and prioritize duties
Must be organized and able to effectively delegate duties
Must possess a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License
Your team and working environment:

Standing: 6-8 hrs/day
Sitting: 0-2 hrs/day
Walking: 6-8 hrs/day
Bending/reaching: 4-6 hrs/day
Pushing/pulling: 2-4 hrs/day
Physical effort: moderate, does not lift more than 50 lbs (23kgs)
Visual effort: moderate, detail oriented
Environmental stress: high - chemical use, responding to a variety of guest calls
Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotel
