What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Spa Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Assist the Spa Operations Manager with the supervision, management and growth of Spa Staff.
Ensure manning and facility utilization are maximized.
Interact with guests, providing full knowledge and assistance for maximum guest usage in a friendly but unobtrusive manner.
Participate in regular staff communications meetings, keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes as well as ways to increase sales and service.
Convey clear instructions and guidance to the staff and ensure all guests are receiving the best possible service in line with our LQA standards.
Responsible for the administration of goods, requisitions, monthly inventories, storage and cost effective usage of all department related materials and assets according to standards to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure all spa employees provide a courteous and professional approach following the hotel standards.
Ensure the team is aware of monthly budget and individual retail and service targets.
Ensure the wedding booking queries are handled in a timely manner and provide the training to the other EC’s on the same.
Ensure the Spa treatment rooms, Reflections Lounge, Spa Reception, Mani – Pedi stations, Spa Change rooms and Spa dispensary are in pristine conditions at all times.
Implement spa smart booking to capitalize on therapists utilization.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Previous experience in a Spa environment required
1 – 2 years’ experience in the field of reception / Admin is an asset
Previous experience handling spa groups and mass bookings an asset
Retail experience and inventory is an asset
First Aid and CPR certification required
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotel
Close proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summer
Hospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connections
Sitting – 1-4 hrs/day
Walking: 4 - 8 hrs/day
Standing: 1 - 8 hrs/day
Bending/Reaching: 1-2 hrs/day
Pushing/Pulling: 1 hrs/day
Physical effort: low – required to lift up to 20 lbs

Additional Information

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
