Compensation:
The starting wage for this position is $21.00/hour + retention bonus for contract completion
Room and board.
Single Dorm room and daily staff dinner meal included (taxable benefit) on location at the Maligne Lake staff camp and while the staff camp dinner program is in operation
Term: March 6/23 - October 27/23

What will you do in this job?:
The facilities maintenance admin/helper role provides for the ongoing parts management of our boat and heavy equipment fleet through effective inventory management and supporting documentation for all repairs. Supports seasonal maintenance needs for all Maligne Lake facilities and on-site staff accommodation. This is a dynamic role and will include a mixture of the following:
Sound understanding and user abilities of our E-maintenance software program for work order creation/issuance and parts management.
Ensuring all proper documentation and tracking is completed for all parts inventory needs and fleet repairs completed
Supporting maintenance managers administratively in work order tracking, deployment, and completion
Performing daily maintenance checks as assigned
Completing general repairs within scope of experience/skill including some fleet mechanic ability, minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, landscaping, and light equipment operations
To assist as required with any fleet maintenance light repair work needs as directed by the fleet maintenance manager or lead mechanic
Picking up supplies, taking recycling to town depot
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
Confidence in administrative duties including competent computer skills, use of varying software and spreadsheets
Previous mechanical, painting and general building maintenance and light mechanical skills are preferred
Class 5 driver’s license (unrestricted), required
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and capable of manual duties which may include working at heights, use of manual and power tools
Organizational and time management skills
High attention to detail
Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepared for all weather conditions (snow, rain, wind, hail)
Must meet the organization grooming and appearance standards
