FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY

The Front Office Manager at the Jasper Inn & Suites will oversee the Front Desk operations٫ act as our company's customer facing manager and ensure our visitors are properly welcomed. Your duties will also include coordination of all front desk activities. The successful candidate will possess a pleasant personality together with a dynamic professional attitude to supervise and lead our Front Desk team. You should also be able to deal efficiently with complaints and have a solid customer service approach.

POSITION OBJECTIVES

To ensure the efficient operation of the Front Desk
To ensure that the first impression for guests is diligent, professional, and welcoming
To ensure that the onboarding and career journey for Front Desk team members is rewarding
To make certain that all guest issues and complaints are dealt with in a timely, compassionate, and respectful manner
RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment, onboarding, and retention of all Front Desk staff, creating a cohesive front desk operational team
Schedule front office staff and supervise workloads during shifts
Act as liaison between the General Manager and staff
Anticipate and handle any guest requests and satisfy their needs within acceptable guidelines
Ensure timely and accurate customer service
Issuing and tracking of gift certificates and special promotions
Ordering and tracking applicable Marmot Basin lift tickets
Handle complaints and specific customers’ requests
Oversee the compliance with company’s policies and security requirements
Troubleshoot emergencies

REQUIRMENTS

Highly effective interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills
Proactive work style
Profound experience in customer service٫ office management and basic bookkeeping procedures
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on the property’s occupancy
2+ years’ experience in a manager role, working as a Front Desk Manager or Reception Manager position
Working knowledge of hotel PMS systems, MicrosoftExcel, Outlook and Word
Post-secondary education in business, sales or hospitality an asset
