Compensation:
The wage for this position is $17.00/hr.
What will be your daily pursuit?:
Providing our guests with a clean, safe, and welcoming environment to rest and recharge after their adventures.

$15 per day housing and meals (based on double occupancy)
$500 referral bonus for each peer referred.
An end of season performance bonus of up to $3.00 for every regular hour worked once you complete your contract

What will you do in this job?:
The Housekeeping team directly impacts the success and our ability to deliver a superior guest experience at the Glacier View Lodge. The Housekeeper position is an active role that will keep you constantly in motion and driven towards the goal of preparing and maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of our guest rooms. Highly dependent on teamwork, the housekeeper role also requires a combination of time management, attention to detail, organization, communication and an appreciation for beautifully presented spaces to ensure each of the 32 rooms in the Glacier View Lodge will blow our guests away. Combined with stunning views of the Athabasca Glacier, the ability to clean and prepare rooms to a high standard gives us the opportunity to provide an incredible stay and experience for our guests. This position will work closes with other departments as, facilities cleaning. This is a multi-faceted position and can include any, or all, of the following:
Arriving to work on time and in proper uniform
Ensuring the cleanliness of the hotel’s guest rooms and corridors
Making beds, changing linens and general tidying of the room
Dusting and vacuuming / Cleaning bathrooms
Folding and organizing the linen stock
Handling lost and found items
Receiving clean linens from linen truck daily and assists in unloading
Delivering used linens to linen truck daily and assists in unloading
Attending to any requests from guests
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position!
Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences
Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
Previous housekeeping experience, an asset
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and capable of manual duties (bend, stoop, squat and stretch), required
Able to perform assigned duties with a high level of attention to detail, speed, consistency, follow through and under minimal supervision
Strong team play, organization and communication skills
Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards
Current Alberta Pro Serve Certification (Required)
What will your work environment be like?:
Typically, 5 days on/2 days off
6 days on/1 day off during Peak Periods
No specific days off, can rotate over the weeks and depending on business level
Long Weekends may incur schedule changes
Expect 30 – 50+ hours per week depending on business levels
