Journey Bike Guides is currently the only mountain bike guiding business fully operational in the rocky mountain national parks. We aspire to get more people out riding bikes and exploring the beautiful backyard we have here in Jasper. As a member of our team you will get to work your dream job outside biking with guests from around the world. Planning routes, fixing bikes, taking pictures, and being responsible for guests safety is all a part of the job. Come join our team! Job description

Certified mountain bike guides - year round - part time

15-18$/hr plus tips

Job Description:

Take guests out on a memorable adventure. From start to finish you are responsible for their safety and ensuring they have a rad time. From bike set up until debrief. This is an outdoor position you will be mountain biking for up to six hours in a day. Most tours are with beginner riders on some of Jaspers best trails. You will need to plan your tour accordingly and arrange trip times accurately. Hours can be between sun rise and sunset. Proof of certification or course sign up must be met by April 1st. Training begins in April and tours begin May 1st – October 15th. Fat biking tours will be from December to April

Essential Requirements:

Must be 18 or older

Preferred requirements:

Customer service experience and great communication skills. Experience leading group rides or friends preferred. Navigation skills. Familiar with wildlife and weather patterns. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions. Risk management logic. Mechanically inclined and can do all on trail repairs. Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and practice first aid accordingly. Knowledge of Jasper AB trails systems. Be able to asses guest’s ability levels accordingly before rides. Talented rider with a good fitness level. Represent Journey Bike Guides with respect at and away from work. Can provide beginners with accurate tips and trick to better their riding. Can answer questions guests have about the town and suggest restaurants, hotels, and other activities. Can maintain composure in busy situations.
