Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head Golf Professional responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards Greet and assist members and guests prior to and following their round of golf Effectively communicate with the golf team and other departments within the hotel to ensure guests’ expectations are exceeded Assist in the organization and set up of golf tournaments and clinics under the direction of the front shop Keep entire front area clean from the club drop area to the back gate (including putting green) Clean clubs for all guests and members and assist with the rental and return of golf clubs and carts General cleanliness and maintenance of golf carts and clubs Dispense range balls to members and guests and ensure the driving range is clean and organized Follow all safety and sanitation policies Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Previous Golf experience is an asset Reasonable understanding of the game of golf required Valid Alberta Drivers License required Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Sitting: 0-1 hr/day Walking: 6-8 hr/day Standing: 6-8 hr/day Bending/reaching: 4-6 hr/day Pushing/pushing: 4-6 hr/day Physical effort: required to lift up to 50lbs Environmental stress: busy atmosphere Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
