POSITION: Central Reservations Agent
GENERAL: 
The Central Reservations Agent at Mountain Park Lodges is the often the first point of contact for potential guests. Your friendly and welcoming telephone skills make you a strong candidate for the role. The ideal candidate has worked in a hospitality environment before, perhaps in a front desk or reservations position, and understands the need for timely, detailed, and pleasant service to all our guests. You will embody our mission, that “We are committed to superior service, comfort and quality to provide a unique and memorable Rocky Mountain Experience.”
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Respond to telephone requests for reservations and cancellations
Handle guest inquiries and provide information about the town and surrounding area
Thoroughly learn all rates and packages available with Mountain Park Lodges
Block rooms
Communicate all reservations, cancellations, etc., to correct hotel
Direct telephone inquiries to correct MPL Department
Ensure you know the Emergency Response Manual thoroughly
Ensure accurate room counts are kept
Effectively handle guest inquiries via e-mail and telephone
Perform other related duties as directed
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Minimum grade 12 education
One year of front desk experience or certification in a hospitality program is an asset
Good knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word/Excel software, data entry and typing skills necessary
Call centre experience preferred
Strong command of the English language
Detail oriented
Neat in appearance
Pleasing and outgoing personality
Good interpersonal and public relations skills
Excellent telephone communication skills
Ability to accept direction
Good knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word/Excel software, data entry and typing skills necessary
Knowledge of front desk operations
Ability to work within a team concept
OTHER: Individuals in this role must be comfortable working in a seated position for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
