Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Colleague Concierge.

The position is responsible for Colleague Administration matters and Uniforms for the entire team. A critical member for the team that allows us to achieve a high level of service to all Colleagues, communicating information, and assisting with inquiries at the Colleague Concierge Desk.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Lifestyle Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Follow all employee policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook as well as the Colleague Housing Policy Guide & Contract.
Assist in maintaining the standards, procedures, and policies of the office
Follow and proactively promote all health and safety policies and initiatives
Servicing the Colleague Concierge Desk and Linen Room, including Handling face to face and telephone enquiries from residents, uniform issuing, repairs, alterations and dry cleaning.
Daily receipt, sorting, organizing and issuing of clean uniforms and dry-cleaning items
Daily pick-up and delivery of staff and hotel mail
Facilitate the check in/out of residents and ensure apartment/dorm keys are returned for reuse
Liaise with residence maintenance person and engineering department to ensure that all Colleagues concerns with upkeep and defects are addressed in a prompt and efficient manner
Liaise with Security in matters of Colleague Housing rules and regulations
Creating and maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for all Colleagues who access the Colleagues Concierge Desk and Linen Room
Organizing uniform storage area, stock and inventory control, ensuring quality of uniform product is maintained
Implementing an internal Colleague Comment Card system, as well as maintaining and tracking Colleague service and quality control results
Ability to work on holidays, weekends, overnights, and other non-day shifts
Executing Colleague events and activities both on and off property
Adhering to the resort’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving resort vehicles
Support Colleague Residence Office with Administrative Duties and coverage when necessary
Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Previous relevant experience with a demonstrated track record of delivering professional, amicable, and engaging service.
Possession of a diploma or equivalent qualification.
Proficiency in Microsoft office Suite.
Possesses good communication, organizational, and collaborative skills with maintaining a positive attitude.
Proficient in multitasking and performing well in fast-paced environments.
Comprehensive understanding of Fairmont's vision, values, and standards.
Demonstrates commitment to Fairmont's vision, effectively communicating, sharing, inspiring, and supporting the core purpose and objectives of the resort or company to the team.
Exhibits self-motivation and sound decision-making abilities.
Sets clear goals, assigns tasks, and consistently measures progress and results.
Simplifies processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Quick learner and dedicated to self-development, actively seeking solutions and improvements while embracing change.

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
