Job Overview
As a BBQ and Deli Prep, you’ll report to the Chef and Restaurant Supervisor. Your role involves preparing BBQ lunches for premium tour groups, alongside completing kitchen prep tasks, including stocking our deli with fresh sandwiches, wraps, salads, and baked goods. This is a versatile position, with responsibilities ranging from morning prep work to assisting with group service and supporting other kitchen operations.


Responsibilities and Duties

Arrive on time as scheduled and open the kitchen for the day’s work.
Prep BBQ lunches and occassionally assist with cooking for high-end tour groups, ensuring exceptional presentation and quality.
Stock the deli with fresh items, including sandwiches, wraps, salads, and baked goods, ensuring availability for guests.
Use quantity estimates and updated business information to prepare the appropriate amount of product.
Assist with prepping meals for set-menu lunch and dinner groups.
Handle and properly store deliveries, typically arriving twice weekly.
Maintain and tidy work areas, including the deli, dry goods room, and kitchen sections.
Support the Chef and Sous Chef with various kitchen duties and prep tasks as required.
Provide occasional assistance to the Breakfast Cook during busy periods or group rushes.

A mature and self-reliant approach, with the ability to work unsupervised.

Compensation

Wage: $20/hour, plus bonuses.
Staff accommodation is available for employees aged 18+ at $4.41 per day.
Completion Bonus: If contract is completed you will receive $1 for every hour worked, plus a bonus that will cover the cost of your rent.
Referral Bonus: Earn $500 if both you and your referral complete your contracts.
