Reporting to the Operations Manager - Infrastructure, the MI Supervisor – Paving is responsible for coordinating and supervising asphalt paving and cold recycling activities as well as overseeing crews on jobs and supporting the Infrastructure division. This position is considered to be a safety-sensitive position.

Job Responsibilities

Leadership & Crew Management

Lead and supervise crews on site, ensuring a best-in-class approach to safety, quality, and accountability.
Coordinate daily operations, providing hands-on support when necessary.
Oversee onboarding, training, and skill development for new hires to build a high-performing team.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Operations & Equipment Management

Coordinate and oversee the operation and maintenance of asphalt paving, recycling, and compaction equipment.
Organize third-party contractors as needed to support project completion.
Operational understanding of the equipment required in a paving operation and thorough understanding of how to optimize efficiency
Monitor asphalt paving operations to ensure projects meet specifications and quality standards.
Oversee the cleaning, maintenance, and inspection of equipment, delegating tasks to crew members as needed.
Administrative & Communication Responsibilities

Ensure accurate ticketing and invoicing for all projects.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders using Microsoft Office tools.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry advancements.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the asphalt paving industry at a supervisory or leadership level.
Proven ability to direct, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
Physically capable of lifting up to 23 kg, as well as bending, standing, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Willing and able to travel for assignments, up to two weeks at a time (accommodations provided).
Able to work long hours on a 15 days on, 6 days off schedule, including overtime and extended travel.
Legally eligible to work in the country where the role is based.
Strong understanding of and commitment to safety, company policies, and industry regulations.
Looking For:

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Experience in reporting, documentation, and record-keeping.
Background in customer service, dispatch coordination, and client interactions.
Understanding of job design and client specifications.
Capable of operating and maintaining equipment.
Experience in troubleshooting equipment issues.
Familiarity with shop sites, remote locations, and fieldwork.
Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
Highly adaptable, dependable, and safety-conscious.
Results-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive in improving processes.
