Destination Stewardship Strategist

WHY WE'RE HERE:

Tourism Jasper is the Destination Marketing Organization for Jasper and Jasper National Park. We’re a young, energetic, forward-thinking team, who are charged with developing and executing on creative solutions to help our Shareholders (select hotels, restaurants, and activities in Jasper) increase revenue through sustainable visitation of targeted consumers to our awesome little town.

WHY YOU’RE HERE:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Brand Strategist provides support to Tourism Jasper’s Marketing team. Specifically, the Brand Strategist is responsible for the internal engagement, use, and development of our brand, with an overarching goal of improving brand consistency and recognition in-market. The Brand Strategist will oversee various design-related projects as they are executed by outsourced resources.

THIS IS YOUR ROLE:

As the Brand Strategist, you will:

Direct and implement the Tourism Jasper brand guidelines to maintain a consistent brand identity.
Oversee the development of high-quality, audience-appropriate assets and material for Tourism Jasper’s marketing, trade, destination, and corporate needs.
Manage Tourism Jasper’s entire digital library utilizing the digital asset management database, “Crowdriff.”
Plan, monitor, allocate resources and ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope.
Coordinate internal resources and vendors for flawless execution of projects.
Increase brand engagement across all departments while bringing brand promises to life.
Differentiate Tourism Jasper’s product and market in a way to leverage it into new spaces.
Oversee the creation of the in-destination pageantry program.
Manage all photo metadata, and ensure assets are up to date with usage rights.
Other duties as required.
YOU’RE ARMED WITH:

Post-secondary education in design, visual arts, marketing, or business.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in project management, graphic design, hospitality, or tourism.
Excellent people and communication skills, both oral and written.
Creative abilities with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
Ability to multitask and keep track of different projects at one time.
Ability to identify and implement workflow and process improvements.
Being solution driven with outside the box thinking.
Knowledge about the Jasper region and its many facets.
IT WOULD BE EXTRA AWESOME IF YOU:

Are proficient in a wide range of media formats and design software technologies, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop).
