As part of our Front Desk team, you will be responsible for maintaining our high standard of quality. The ideal candidate for this role must possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, hardworking and detail oriented. Responsibilities and Duties Skills Security and Safety Criminal record check required Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Attention to detail Fast-paced environment Work under pressure Standing for extended periods Personal Suitability Excellent written communication Judgement, Reliability Effective interpersonal skills Flexibility Team player Excellent oral communication Client focus Dependability Organized Business Equipment and Computer Applications Multi-line switchboard Internet Opera Specific Skills Register arriving guests and assign rooms Process group arrivals and departures Take, cancel and change room reservations Provide information on hotel facilities and services Provide general information about points of interest in the area Investigate and resolve complaints and claims Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments Follow emergency and safety procedures Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying) Assist clients/guests with special needs Handle wake-up calls, Provide customer service Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages Qualifications and Skills Front Desk experience and able to speak a second language are an asset.
