What will be your daily pursuit?:
As a grounds/recycling & staff residence facilities worker, you will help to create an unforgettable experience that exceeds the expectations of our guests by ensuring a consistently clean and well maintained facility. Facility worker should take pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming environment while keeping an eye out for safety.

What will your compensation be?:
The starting salary for this position is $20.00 per hour.

What will you do in this job?:
Responsible for daily upkeep of the staff residence building, common room, parking lot, and surrounding grounds, which includes cleaning and removing of trash and hazards
Maintain outdoor walkways and common room deck; including snow removal, removing hazards/garbage and spreading salt-mix on to prevent ice buildup
Keeping the hallways and fire exits of the Staff Residence building clear of obstructions (examples: shoes, bikes, equipment etc)
Vacuuming and washing the floors of the Staff Residence hallways and stairwells, laundry and gym
Ensuring that fire safety equipment at Staff Residence is in-date, clearly marked and accessible (clear of hazards).
Inspect the areas throughout the building regularly and reporting maintenance work orders to the Building maintenance team.
Grounds/outdoor facilities
Maintaining the grounds at the icefield operations to expected cleanliness and guest use including;
Trash pick up
Maintaining garbage receptacles
Outdoor Washrooms are tidy and stocked (GSW and Transfer bays)
Grounds and walkways look clean and tidy
All access area are clearly marked, and maintained to be free of hazards
Supporting any spill clean ups as required (Staff camp, ice, transfer bays, center, Skywalk)
Any safety/maintenance issues reported to the Safety Services Coordinator
Recycling
Responsible for sorting and bundling all cardboard
Sorting and preparing all recycling (staff camp and center)
Transporting all recycling to according recycling centers in Jasper (weekly)
Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and always ensuring a professional appearance and attitude.
Other duties, as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position!
Class 5 driver’s license (unrestricted), required
Mature, energetic, dependable, and self-motivated
Ability to lift loads of up to 50 pounds as necessary
Ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision
Internally motivated with a consistently high level of energy
Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks needing attention
High attention to detail
Experience in a custodial role an asset
Tourism or hospitality industry experience an asset
Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepare for all season weather (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail)
Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards
