What will you do in this job?:
The Maligne Lake Employee Experience Coordinator role will support the leadership team in ensuring all Maligne Lake team members residing on-site are provided with a safe, clean, fun and enjoyable accommodation experience. The coordinator role will support all team members, but primarily will support Maligne Lake on-site activities to encourage and deliver upon a positive camp life taking full advantage of the unique environment in which we operate. This role will also assist with the coordination and delivery of Maligne staff events for all team members that live on-site and off. In addition to being the experience coordinator for the staff for events and accommodation, this role will also include leading and running the Health and Safety committee with the Senior Operations Manager.
Oversee all staff check ins and departures for Maligne staff camp including all according paperwork, site orientation and camp safety
Work closely with Maligne leadership to plan staff events
Work closely with Maligne maintenance team to ensure staff camp areas as maintained properly
Managing room assignments for Maligne Lake staff camp
Be available as the first responder (with support from on-site management) for any safety incidents for the staff accommodation facilities including fire, flood, medical emergencies and resident disagreements
Ensure that all camp safety protocols are adhered to and any required safety drills or communications are delivered
Maintain documentation for all safety issues and drills
1st point of contact for camp residents as to managing any accommodation issues that arise including noise violations, safety issues, repair needs and roommate challenges
Completion of common area light cleaning duties along with regular room-check schedule to ensure facilities are being maintained to expected levels of cleanliness and function
Work with cleaning team to make a schedule to ensure grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, general grounds clean up and firepit area, garbage and recycling, exterior window washing, etc are being completed
Coordinating, organizing and running staff activities and events for both camp life and company staff events
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
A self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys taking on “hands on” types of duties
High energy and fun individual who can motivate people while at the same time hold them accountable
Active, empathetic listener
Moderate administrative skills including Microsoft Office
Proven strength in problem solving, critical thinking, attention to detail and ability to make decisions
Calm and professional nature who is comfortable dealing with varying issues that may arise
Confident in coordination of events and activities
Proven leadership skills, maturity, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to react quickly and efficiently, with flexibility
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Be prepared for all weather conditions (snow, rain, wind, hail)
Must meet the organization grooming and appearance standards

Must have a Canadian Class 5 or G Drivers license, and a willing to get Class 4 Alberta license (training provided, and costs incurred covered)
