Dispatchers are responsible for operational communications, efficient fulfillment of tour group bookings and coordination of the daily tour schedule that meets projected and real-time demands. Dispatchers must adapt and respond to changes, cancellations and unforeseen circumstances, all while monitoring personnel and equipment locations. Dispatcher plays a pivotal role working with operations leadership to support the efficient use and revenue maximization of our tour boat fleet and resources With direction from leadership, adjusting inventory availability for advanced online purchase, daily sales and group travel Create the daily cruising schedule in advance, based on operational demand, staffing levels, and boat maintenance Operate as a central radio communications and distribution point for all daily operations and emergency situations Handling group and walk-up guest sales and check-in Communication and tour orchestration with onsite dock agent, ticket agents and tour group guides/directors Maintaining boat tracking reports and communicating any issues to Maligne operations management Maintaining visitor tracking reports and daily tour pax counts Other duties as assigned What skills and experience do you need for this job?: A self-starter who takes initiative Cash-handling experience Previous dispatch or logistic management is an asset Previous experience with tour groups is an asset Fluent and articulate in English, able to communicate and comprehend over two-way radio, required Administrative skills including Microsoft Office applications Experience using RTP POS Software, an asset Proven strength in problem solving, critical thinking, attention to detail and ability to make decisions Must be able to react quickly and efficiently, with flexibility Mature and professional with the ability to create a sense of calm under stressful situations Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment.
