The Opportunity

Working in collaboration with the Controller and administration team, you will work hands on and:
Collect, interpret, and report financial data.
Collect and analyze cost versus budget data for ascertaining financial performance.
Prepare reports and evaluations for individual projects.
Lead and Supervise Accounting staff.
Lead month end process.
Process salaried and director’s payroll.
Engage with POS software setup, GL import, revenue recognition and reporting purposes.
Assist controller with annual budgeting, project forecasting, capital planning and financial analysis for the resort.
Develop, monitor, update and enforce internal policies and procedures relevant to accounting, payroll, budgeting, and project tracking.
Communicate and collaborate with department leaders to stay abreast of performance, spending and budgeting.
Monitor legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to payroll, financial reporting and operations and ensure compliance.
The Ideal Candidate
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate degree in Business or Administration (or equivalent experience)
Accounting designation (or working towards)
5+ years in a Finance or Accounting position
Skills Required:
Effective deadline management and project management skills.
Extensive, experience and knowledge in dealing with accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls.
Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs.
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor.
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
