Nordic Spa Facility Operations Supervisor

As the Facility Operations Supervisor you would be assisting the Director of Facility Operations with their day to day activities, Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all machinery, equipment and engineering facilities. Work proactively to ensure there is no breakdown of the engineering systems and inspect the working condition of equipment and engineering systems and ensure that all standards are maintained on regular basis.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Represent Kananaskis Nordic Spa with the highest level of service excellence and knowledgeable of facility, treatments, retail and group programs offered (e.g., hours of operation, rates and treatment types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events)

Have complete understanding of and adhere to all company policies, procedures and standards
To assist the Director of Facility Operations in the day to day work and oversee the preventive maintenance of all equipment.
To assume all the responsibilities and authority of the Director of Facility Operations in his absence.
To check all log books daily and take corrective measures accordingly.
To keep Director of Facility Operations informed of all the activities and incidence in the Facility Operations.
To coordinate with the outside agencies or vendors for repair and maintenance work.
To check the quality of engineering goods procured by the organisation.
To obtain a thorough knowledge of firefighting appliances.
Able to represent engineering department on HOD meeting during the absence of Director of Facility Operations.
Able to take decisions in order to ensure successful operation.
Able to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
Able to make quotation finalisation.
Monitor and record utility consumption and assist the Director of Facility Operations to maintain efficiency.
Maintain history card/ Life files for all the Facility Operations equipment.
Provide supervision and leadership to colleagues within his/her area of the Facility Operations Team.
Daily coordination of the Facility Operations team in his/her area of responsibility.
Advise on the duty roster for his/her area of responsibility.
Complete administration tasks such as but not limited to payroll, scheduling, recruiting and ordering.
Train, coach and mentor all Facilities Maintenance and Spa attendant team members by creating an environment of continuous learning and growth.
Prepare reports, maintain inventories, and keep accurate records, order equipment and supplies.
Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment.
Stay abreast with the technological advances in surveillance & safety of equipment.
Ensure that Operational problems are promptly brought to the attention of the Facility Operations Supervisor.
At regular intervals, inspect the working condition of equipment and engineering systems and ensure that all standards are maintained.
Any other job or duties assigned by the management as and when required.
Our Ideal Candidate:

General knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Kitchen and other trades.
Proficient in Windows, PMS and MS Office applications
Good knowledge of fire & life safety processes and procedures.
Excellent command of English language (oral and written).
Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical services and pool operations.
Able to train, coach and develop team members.
Education:
Diploma or degree in engineering related trades. Along with certification in related fields.
A minimum of 2 to 3 years experiences working as a multi-skilled technician in a five star / full-service hotel or similar capacity in a service industry.
Working Conditions:

Include but are not limited to;
Ability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays
Sitting for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate by phone, email and in person
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components
Frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
Frequent ascending or descending, stairs and ramps
