Job Description:

Assume the responsibility of the Housekeeping Supervisor in their absence
Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks
Oversee staff on a daily basis
Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness
Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
Respond to customer complaints and special requests
Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
Housekeeper Job Duties

Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks
Making beds and changing linens
Washing windows
Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs
Sweeping/vacuuming, polishing, and mopping floors
Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry
Using any cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools
Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies
Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces
Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste
Steaming and cleaning draperies
Washing blinds
Tidying up rooms
Monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed
Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements
Requirements: * Previous team leader experience is an asset

Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper
Excellent organizational
Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
Customer-oriented and friendly
Prioritization and time management skills
Working quickly without compromising quality
Knowledge of English language
High school degree
