Position Summary

As the District Manager, West region, you will be fully responsible for managing up to 6 boutiques in the West Region (BC and Alberta). You will also ensure that the Company’s mission statement, values, brand, and strategies are followed to increase brand recognition, sales and profits. In addition, you will manage and develop the Boutique Managers in whom you instill the fundamental values of our brand while working in conjunction with the Senior Regional Boutique Manager in driving the evolution of the boutique operational efficiency and alignment that will then be deployed nationally.

A day in the life of...

As a District Manager, your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Brand Visibility & Retail Excellence

· Ensure all boutiques adhere to Nespresso’s international guidelines for brand positioning and visual merchandising.

· Implement and monitor retail communication campaigns in alignment with HQ and marketing directives.

· Conduct regular boutique visits using standardized retail tools to assess execution and identify opportunities between BM and RBM/DM

Customer Experience & Service Quality

Monitor all customer feedback & Improve Service Levels: Manage customer feedback via direct channels: Club, Internet and Boutique and follow up accordingly directly with the customer or the Boutique Manager.
Collaborate and ensure with Boutique Managers to meet and exceed their target results based on the Mystery Shopper Survey.
Analyze and propose improvements based on Mystery Shopper & Customer Voice results.
People Development & Leadership

· Manage and comply with the HR and Line Manager’s Planning Cycle.

· Complete Boutique Induction program with all new Boutique Staff, monitor training requirements and identify necessary training for all staff along with training on the variety of tools & systems.

· Monitor results in order to enhance and improve the Customer Experience in Boutiques
Coach and Develop the Boutique Managers and eventually other direct reports.

· Ensure safe working conditions.

· Lead and manage the performance management process (PDP) in partnership with HRBP.

· Manage talent review and succession planning processes for directs reports.

· Strategically collaborate in partnership with different HR Stakeholders including Randstad as our third-party provider.

Operational & Financial Management

· Manage regional budgets and monitor the achievement of profitability targets are met across boutiques.

· Uphold company policies and compliance standards through training, audits, and ongoing support.

· Develop strategies to ensure efficient increase by developing and implementing tools and procedures.

Performance Co-Piloting & Strategic Execution

· Be responsible for finance reporting (forecast and Dynamic forecast, Opex , Internal control Accrual)

· Lead the implementation of the action plans required.

· Review wages and productivity for the region and provide guidance to Boutique Managers.

· Analyze KPIs and recommend strategic actions to drive results.

What will make you successful

· Completion of secondary level of education and 2-3 years of higher education at a university or a specialized college.

· 5 years of in direct customer sales on top of the line products & services.

· Minimum 4-5 years of extensive professional experience in Retail Management (all additional experience in hospitality and up-market hotel, tourism, etc is a plus).

· Minimum of 5-7 years experience in large team management in the Retail industry.

· Experiences in sales and/or customer service areas are strong assets.
