SALARY:

First 90 days: $23.10 per hour
After 90 days: $25.10 per hour
JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting primarily to the Financial Controller, the incumbent will be responsible for administrative and clerical duties in addition to providing support to operational areas as required. We are looking for an extremely high energy individual with a “no job is too small” outlook.

This is a unique and excellent opportunity for a Hospitality career minded person to fast track their career by gaining a valuable diverse range of experience across different areas of the hotel ranging but not limited to Administration, Marketing, Social Media, Events, Rooms Operations, Kitchen help, F&B Operations and more.

Recent Hospitality Management Program graduates are encouraged to apply.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide administrative and clerical & personal assistance to the Executive team and department managers
Assist in operational areas of the hotel as required as a member of the Hotel's Support Team
Hotel Support entails assisting in housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage, housing and any other related area where needed.
Prepare letters, memos, reports, and presentations as required
Responsible for publishing hotels monthly newsletter.
Responsible for assisting in maintaining recognition boards and programs
Maintain current mailing and telephone lists
Act as secretary and maintain a key presence for Departmental Meetings
Summarize and track F&B and Front Office guests comment card programs
Responsible for all Graphic Design needs for F&B, Resort Fee & Hotel activities including Menus.
Assist in planning and advertising Employee Events and Activities.
Assist in administering Hotels internal communications pages.
Managing all Gift Certificate and card issuances, redemption’s and related tracking’s.
Assemble handbooks, binders and information packages
Order and maintain sufficient stock of office supplies, including stationary
Update the hotel Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn)
Perform other related duties as required by the General Manager, Hotel Ops Managers or Department Managers.
Assist coordinators in other administrative areas with groups, events and other as needed.
Assist off-site staff accommodation team as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Energetic, flexible, hands-on individual with a high level of initiative
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
A can-do attitude toward helping out a variety of department's within the Hotel
Strong knowledge of MS Office and Desktop Publishing Software including Canva and Publisher.
Friendly and pleasant demeanor, reliable, courteous, self-motivated, and professional.
Ability to work efficiently and meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.
Previous administrative experience in a hospitality setting would be an asset, but not a must.
Must have a Post Secondary Diploma or Degree in a business or hospitality related discipline.
Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract
