RMSI-JTAC Jasper, AB Full-time Job details Job type Full-time Shift & schedule 10 hour shift Position Overview The Lift and Building Millwright works as part of the Lift and Building Maintenance team - we welcome 4th year apprentices to also apply. They ensure the proper maintenance and availability of Tram, chalets and outbuildings, and various tools and equipment. They must ensure open communication is maintained amongst the department and with others. The incumbent should expect to work outside in all weather conditions. This is a full-time, year-round role, four days of 10-hour shifts per week (compressed work week). Alberta Employment Standards regarding probationary periods apply. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Work with Millwrights / Apprentice Millwrights and Electricians, and other staff as required, in the execution of daily assigned duties Ensure preventive maintenance and required repairs are made to maintain tram, chalets and outbuildings Ensure preventative maintenance and repairs are made to plumbing systems Perform preventative maintenance, daily testing, and necessary repairs on potable water systems, including filtration, chlorination, heat trace, pumps, etc. Ensure maintenance records are kept in accordance with relevant safety codes and insurance provider requirements. Ensure all maintenance and construction work, whether performed by staff or contractors is completed as per relevant building, arial lift, and safety codes Ensure proper maintenance of hand and shop tools and equipment Adhere to manufacture’s preventative maintenance schedules including all testing, oil sampling and related procedures Ensure all work orders are submitted fully completed and accurate in the details recorded Ensure OH&S and RMSI-JTAC safety policies and procedures are followed Answer radios or telephones promptly to ensure open communication to L&B department Ensure shop area is kept clean and organized. Ensure shop tools and materials are returned to their proper locations at the end of jobs or shifts Assist in emergency situations as requested. Supplementary: Respect and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures as set in the “Corporate Policies”, “Employee Handbook” and “Safety Operations Training Manuals” Understand and adhere to Jasper Skytram “Harassment Policy” and the company’s “Privacy Policy”. Qualifications: Journeyman (Red Seal) Certification as a Millwright or 4th year apprenticeship. Any other specialized training in hydraulics, electrical, construction, plumbing, etcetera an asset Risk management experience Demonstrated understanding of essential safety practices and applications to ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations Arial lift industry or related experience (preferred but not required) Core Competencies: Professional deportment with excellent customer service skills: experience dealing with all on-hill patrons Cheerful, outgoing personality; demonstrated temperament and disposition for highly stressful situations Attributes: Strong team member able to take and give direction as required Motivated and observant; able to perceive needed tasks and complete them without direction Self-aware; able to identify strengths and gaps in own abilities and seek training and learning opportunities to grow personally and professionally Excellent problem-solving abilities Instill excellent customer service into all team members Recreational mountain pursuits, such as hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and other hobbies are considered assets.
