Job Description Esthetician For guests seeking rejuvenation, inspiration and personalized attention, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge offers a wide selection of luxurious Spa body experiences. Your care and professionalism as an Esthetician shows our guests that they are unique and valued – and you will take pride in knowing that your talent helps them feel their very best. Competitive wage includes hourly rate + commission + service charge 8% Retail commission and product incentives Paid Vacation / Flexible Schedule Options Complimentary health club access (includes fitness centre, steam, sauna) and boat house rentals Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time status Competitive extended benefits package including medical, vision and dental for full time permanent status Employee Travel Program Comprehensive Wellness Platform (LifeWorks) Discounts on food & beverage/spa/golf Opportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and over 5,000 properties with Accor What you will be doing: Reporting to the Spa Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards Perform nail and esthetic services in a safe, comfortable, and hygienic manner Perform facials on guests using safe and professional techniques Maintain an ample inventory of all products necessary to perform all facial, manicure and pedicure services Constantly maintain an up to date knowledge of the personal services performed and any revisions in the products or procedures used Stay up to date with current Aesthetic industry trends Report dysfunctional equipment to Spa Supervisor / Spa Operations Manager Work with the Senior Aesthetician in the formulation of plans for projects Assist in the operations of all spa departments as required including Reception, Boutique, Sales and Marketing Sell and restock professional and retail products Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way Maintain cleanliness of work area and of all equipment used Follow all safety and sanitation policies Support other teams within department as required, i.e. Spa Attendants, Spa Reception Other duties as assigned Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Previous experience in a Spa environment preferred 1 – 2 years’ experience in the field of Esthetics required Certification from an accredited school of Esthetics required Current professional licenses First Aid and CPR certification an asset Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Your team and working environment: Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotel Close proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summer Hospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connections Sitting – 1-3 hrs/day Walking: 1-2 hrs/day Standing: 3-4 hrs/day Bending/Reaching: 1-3 hrs/day Pushing/Pulling: 1-2 hrs/day Physical effort: medium – required to lift up to 20 lbs Additional Information Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
