THE PROPERTY:

Lake Louise Inn is a full-service hotel with 247 guest rooms and suites surrounded by soaring pines and sweeping mountain views, nestled among the snowy peaks of Banff National Park and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DETAILS:

Located in Lake Louise
Valid Canadian Work-Permit Required for International Applicants
Full-time position, average of 40 hours per week
First 90 days: $20.00 per hour
After 90 days: $22.00 per hour
$2/hr summer incentive bonus program (conditions apply)
JOB SUMMARY

The Houseperson promotes a positive image of the property to guests while cleaning and servicing hotel areas under the guidance of Housekeeping Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean and maintain cleanliness of public areas, conference rooms, staff cafeteria, administration, restaurants, pool and gym, etc. Train new staff members and ensure quality of cleanliness in public spaces.

Take out garbage and recycling
Deliver in house food & beverage items, luggage, amenities, and other requests to guest rooms
Deliver Housekeeping supplies to linen rooms
Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines at all times
Clean hotel rooms upon request
Report Lost & Found items
Train new Team Members
Assist in Laundry Department and clean hotel rooms when required
Assist with seasonal deep cleaning of hotel and guest rooms
Maintain cleaning equipment, stocking of carts, chemical trays, and linen rooms
Report any damages and deficiencies through internal procedures
Assist the Maintenance Department with grounds work on an as needed basis
Evaluate performance of Team Members with assistance from Housekeeping Manager
Perform other related duties as required by the Housekeeping Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous customer service experience preferred
ProServe Certificate preferred
Energetic, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity
Excellent customer service skills
Highly organized and detail oriented
Work well under pressure, without supervision, independently and as a member of a team
Able to perform well in a fast-paced work environment
Good communication skills
Must be able to push and pull up to 100lbs
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Must be able to complete multiple flights of stairs per shift carrying supplies
WORK CONDITIONS:

Standing, walking, stair climbing for entire shift
Frequent exposure to elements ** outside/inside
Exposure to cleaning chemicals with PPE
