What will be your daily pursuit?:
The Food & Beverage Operations Manager will serve as a key member of the shared services team assuming front line operational responsibilities. Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage Jasper, this position will support new initiatives and ensure consistency across the BJC.

What will you do in this job?:
Support and lead all aspects of day-to-day food and beverage operations across multiple outlets.
Provide on-floor coverage and hands-on operational leadership, particularly in the absence of outlet managers, to ensure seamless service and consistent guest experience.
Be present and available during peak periods, manager transitions, or unexpected absences to maintain continuity and leadership presence.
Deliver structured, consistent training and onboarding for all new F&B managers, including IT access, operational systems, Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) and departmental tools.
Standardize and lead training for all salaried leaders, ensuring alignment with brand standards, policies, and procedures.
Conduct F&B Orientation for all leadership team members and provide ongoing coaching to drive continuous development and growth.
Serve as the brand standards lead for Starbucks operations, ensuring the location consistently meets all corporate and operational standards.
Act as the primary liaison with Starbucks representatives, working collaboratively to uphold quality, compliance, and brand integrity across all aspects of the operation.
Monitor and guide labour management at the manager level, ensuring accurate schedules, staffing plans, time off requests and payroll practices in line with business volume and budget goals.
Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of middle-management team members (Assistant Managers, F&B Managers).
Collaborate with managers to improve labour productivity, manage scheduling gaps, and support proper planning for activations, events, and busy periods.
Lead menu engineering by prioritizing and evaluating new product, menu, and package requests from F&B teams and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with brand standards, guest expectations, and business goals.
Assist with menu development, beverage programming, and concept creation in collaboration with culinary team and Line of Business leaders.
Assist in the development and launch of the F&B Applications and Takeout Program, providing ongoing training and support as needed.
Maintain consistent, structured verbal and written communication with F&B teams and leadership across all Jasper properties to ensure alignment and foster effective collaboration and consistency.
Prepare and submit activity, operational, and project status reports to the Director of Food & Beverage and other business stakeholders.
Ensure all outlets maintain the highest standards of service, food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
Assist in developing and executing revenue-driving promotions and guest-facing tactics.
Act as a culture champion by consistently modeling Pursuit’s values and fostering an inclusive, engaging workplace that inspires both leaders and front-line team members to thrive.
Encourage community involvement by volunteering within the community and supporting team member participation.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Minimum of 10 years senior level experience operating a 4+ million diverse food and beverage operation
Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field
Proven experience building relationships and working with teams across all levels
Thrives in a fast paced and high energy work environment
Able to create “followership” through modelling our core values and best practices
Capable of inspiring and motivate teams to maximize performance within the organization
Experience in budgeting, Profit and Loss management and financial controls required
Excellent beverage, wine and food knowledge
Pro Serve certificate
Sommelier qualification an asset
Flexible schedule as weekends and evening shifts are required
Outstanding team player, able to motivate and support employees
Excellent communication, interpersonal and guest service skills
A self-starter with strong organizational skills
