What will be your daily pursuit?:
Maintaining the upkeep of all facilities including pools, restaurants, guest rooms and meeting rooms

What will you do in this job?:
Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of the property with a focus on quality.
Daily duties include repairs and maintenance in the fitness area (pool, hot tub), restaurant, guest rooms, staff accommodation and meeting and banquet rooms.
Assist in operating and maintaining the Resort’s Waste Management System.
Frequent interaction with coworkers, management and guests.
Complete basic repairs in guest rooms and other areas of the hotel.
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and Chief Engineer with special project and major repairs.
Complete yard work as required including snow removal, gardening, mowing lawns, assisting guests with luggage, and parking lot maintenance.
Encourage and participate in safe work practices, including safety training of new staff.
Assist other departments as required, including Guest Services, Resort Services, Security, etc.
Report to the Maintenance Supervisor the completion of all tasks and projects assigned.
Other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, the Chief Engineer and the Hotel Manager.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Preference will be given to individuals with experience/knowledge in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience maintaining a property of similar complexity and size.
Ability to multitask and effectively manage large workloads and changing demands.
Ability to work flexible hours; days, evening, weekends and participate in the ‘on call’ rotation.
Creative thinker and problem solver who takes initiative to complete tasks to Pursuit standards.
Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimal supervision.
A strong team player who will work well within a dynamic team and department.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Pleasure Craft License, or the ability to obtain one (Pursuit will pay for the course).
A valid 1st Aid Certificate is considered an asset.
Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License with clean driving abstract
