Job Description As a dynamic member of the Staff Services Team, this position focuses on ensuring the well-being of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge's employees and residents. This role has an integral impact on the satisfaction and comfort of residents (our guests) in colleague accommodation. What is in it for you: Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time status Competitive extended benefits package including medical, vision and dental for full time permanent status Employee Travel Program Comprehensive Wellness Platform Discounts on food & beverage/spa/golf Opportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and over 5,000 properties with Accor What you will be doing: Reporting to the Colleague Residence Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service Communicating and scheduling of all non-maintenance tenant requests Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards Initiate and maintain effective communication within the Staff Services Department other departments Continuous supervision, training and on-going performance reviews of housepersons Inspect assigned rooms and cabins for cleanliness and maintenance Supervise the supply, proper use and care of equipment, cleaning supplies. Report all maintenance deficiencies and follow through with repairs in rooms, cabins and surrounding areas Clean and maintain all staff areas (outside grounds, R&R room, training room & laundry rooms) Ensure that all recycling is carried out daily Daily supervision of Linen room operations in absence of uniform coordinator Develop extensive knowledge of linen room operations Escort new employees to their room on arrival and provide each with a tour of staff areas (including the Staff Cafeteria) Assist with co-ordination of sporting and social events, on and off property, by researching employee interests, developing programs and promoting events to ensure that all employees have the opportunity to participate Monitor the rental of equipment and vacuums Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel vehicles Follow all safety and sanitation practices Other duties as assigned Qualifications Your experience and skills include: Previous supervisory experience preferred Housekeeping/janitorial experience an asset Experience with linen room operations an asset Valid Alberta driver’s license required Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Your team and working environment: Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotel Close proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summer Hospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connections Standing: 4-6 hrs/day Walking: 4-6 hr/day Bending/reaching: 3 hr/day Pushing/pulling: 1-2 hr/day Physical effort: required to lift up to 100 lbs, some repetitive motion Environmental stress: high - works in hot/cold conditions, constant inside/outside conditions, some slippery or congested conditions, working alone and in group situation Additional Information Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
