What will be your daily pursuit?:
The F&B Banquet / Operations Manager is proactive, anticipating clients’ needs as well as responds promptly to the requests of customers by aligning services to the customers’ needs and schedules.

This is a six-month seasonal contract beginning April 21, 2024!
Compensation:
The starting salary for this position is dependent on experience.

What will you do in this job?:
Reports to the Director of Food and Beverage Jasper
Liaise with Reservations and Sales Teams (GEM, Travel Trade) for seasonal readiness
Event Support - includes providing onsite daily event support to the Food and Beverage team such as setup of rooms, assisting in organizing in-house signature events and various other duties
Event Provisions and décor management, budgeting for and purchasing equipment
Structure and supply training for all set ups and executions (Manuals, checklists and service standard operating materials)
Must be Chair at weekly BEO meetings
Will compile and distribute all BEOs in outlets for F&B preparation in absence of F&B Admin
Work with LOB Managers to review program’s contracts, guarantees, rosters, and schedule of events
Delphi – includes reviewing and completing daily internal event booking information
Delphi - monitoring last minute event changes, generating the daily change report, and training new employees on the room reservation system.
Responsible for FB readiness and client satisfaction on day of event, may be required to set-up rooms
Coordinate with CRES, Travel Trade Sales Teams and oversee execution of packaged F&B contracts
Work with the GEM department on Menu upgrades and seasonal developments
Liaise with GEM Team and greet clientele and conference organizers
Ensure all Bills are completed and accurate to accounting in a timely manner
Handles all internal events within Pursuit: building BEO to billing within POS in absence of F&B Admin
Full understanding of all Sales’ market package not limited to Travel Trade and Group and Event Management
Verifying actual sales vs booking Delphi and Maestro
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
3-5 years of leadership experience in food and beverage
Experience with multi-unit leadership
Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
Thrives in a fast paced and high energy work environment
Experience with best-in-class operating systems, training, staff development and the operational
Management of large and complex operations
Expertise in building relationships and working on teams across all levels of an organization, particularly with operating teams, line supervisors, seasonal staff from a broad range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds
Able to create “followership” through modelling our core values and best practices
Capable of inspiring teams to drive speed and performance within the organization
Experience with financial management and creating strong employee and guest satisfaction
Ideal candidate would have strong experience across a broad range of food and beverage activities, meetings/events and functions
Knowledge in Delphi/Salesforce and hotel booking systems an asset
