The wage for this position is $16.50 / hour + An end of season performance bonus of up to $1.00 for every regular hour worked once you complete your contract
What will be your daily pursuit?:
Guest Experience Agents provide an upbeat, professional service that goes above and beyond our guests’ expectations. You will come across thousands of guests a day from all over the world, so being up to date on all Pursuit products, discounts and promotions is key. Attention to detail and effective communication skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest is the most important aspect of this position. This position includes indoor and outdoor components, meaning that your working week will vary.

What will you do in this job?:
Providing guests with a warm welcome prior to entering the Glacier Discovery Centre (GDC)
Educating guests on the Pursuit Attractions and guiding them through the purchasing process
Providing guests information on the local area
Assisting with tour group check-in, and coordinating with dispatch for logistical changes to orders
Ticket validation as guests begin the Columbia Icefield Adventure and Skywalk
Loading & coordinating guests and tour groups on/off Coaches and/or Ice Explorers
Operate the point-of-sale system with accuracy and efficiency, the responsible handling of cash, credit cards, and cash out forms
Communicate with co-workers and management, forward observations and comments in a timely fashion
Uphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employees
Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position!
Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
Previous guest service and cash handling experience an asset
Guest service-oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences
Ability to think on the fly and outside the box with a positive attitude
Second language is an asset
Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills an asset
Must enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment.
Be prepare for all season weather (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail)
Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards

Standard First-Aid or higher an asset

This fun, summer job runs from April 27 to October 9 or June 9 to September 4, 2023!

Busy. You need to be prepared for a physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) required
