Becker’s Gourmet Restaurant is located on the Icefields Parkway, just 5 km south of the town of Jasper along the Athabasca River. Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Follow company policies, procedures and service standards.
Always have a pleasant and positive professional image.
Knowledge of beverage items and preparation methods, including features, in order to assist guests with their selections and to promote these items.
Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for wait staff and patrons as requested, paying attention to detail.
Ability to work with speed and dexterity, ability to multitask.
Organizing the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory.
Cleaning the bar and work areas to maintain a sanitary environment.
Keeping a well-stocked bar with adequate bar inventory and supplies.
Enhance revenue flow through suggestive selling techniques.
Maintain accurate guest checks, handle cash float, make accurate deposits, balance credit card and cash sales at the end of every shift.
Ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in Health and Safety initiatives.
Always maintain a cooperative and positive attitude towards the guests and fellow team members.
Keep recyclables organized and sorted.
Ability to take direction.
Complete opening and closing duties.
Perform additional duties as required such as answering the phone, take-out orders and assist with hosting/greeting guests.
Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience bartending.
Must have sincere desire to exceed guest expectations.
Pro Serve Certification.
The ability to work well under pressure, high energy and self- motivated.
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20lbs
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending stairs.
Visa Requirements: Candidates must hold the proper work authorization to legally work in Canada.
